1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Jason R. Media LLC for your access to and use of Bedroom Artist Academy. By purchasing, creating an account, or using the Academy, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Academy.
2. The Academy
Bedroom Artist Academy is a music-education service that may include video lessons, templates, downloads, community access, live help, file submissions, feedback, revisions, mastering, beats, and other benefits described on the site or at checkout. Features and availability may depend on your plan and active membership status.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to enter a binding contract where you live. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining control of your email account and devices, and notifying us promptly of unauthorized access. Your Academy access is personal and may not be sold, transferred, or shared with another person unless we expressly allow it.
4. Plans, trials, billing, and cancellation
Prices, billing frequency, trial terms, discounts, and included benefits are shown on the site or at checkout and become part of your purchase. If you choose a subscription, it renews automatically at the stated interval until canceled. You authorize the payment processor to charge the payment method on file for recurring amounts, taxes, and any clearly disclosed fees.
Cancel before the next renewal to avoid the next recurring charge. Cancellation does not create an early-cancellation fee.
Unless the offer at checkout says otherwise, cancellation stops future renewal and access continues through the end of the current paid period.
A failed, reversed, disputed, or refunded payment may pause or end access and associated member-only benefits.
Trial and promotional eligibility may be limited, changed, or withdrawn when abuse or duplicate use is detected.
5. Refunds
Refund eligibility, if any, is governed by the offer shown at checkout and applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us promptly before initiating a payment dispute so we have an opportunity to investigate and help.
6. Your license to course materials
While your applicable access remains active, we grant you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use Academy materials for your own education and music-making. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, publish, scrape, reproduce at scale, remove ownership notices from, or use Academy materials to build a competing product or training dataset without written permission.
7. Your uploads and submissions
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant us and our service providers a limited license to host, store, copy, transmit, review, modify where requested, and otherwise process that content only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Academy and the service you requested. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit the content.
Do not submit confidential information you are not authorized to share, unlawful material, malware, or content that infringes another person’s rights. Public or community posts may be visible to other members and should be treated accordingly.
8. Acceptable use
Do not interfere with, probe, overload, reverse engineer, bypass, or attempt unauthorized access to the site, AuthBox, Workers, storage, video delivery, or another member’s account or content.
Do not use the Academy to harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud, spam, or distribute unlawful or harmful content.
Do not share login access, automate bulk downloading, or evade plan, membership, rate, or access controls.
Follow reasonable rules posted for submissions, live sessions, Discord, and individual member benefits.
9. Community and third-party services
Some features use third-party services, such as Discord or a payment provider. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms. We do not control third-party platforms and are not responsible for their independent availability, content, or conduct. We may moderate or remove Academy community access to protect members or enforce these terms.
10. Ownership
The Academy, its branding, lessons, templates, site design, recordings, written materials, and other content we provide are owned by Jason R. Media LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. No rights are granted except the limited license expressly stated in these terms.
11. Educational nature and results
The Academy provides education, tools, feedback, and creative resources. Your results depend on many factors, including your effort, decisions, equipment, market conditions, and third-party platforms. We do not promise income, streams, placements, audience growth, career outcomes, or any specific creative or commercial result.
12. Availability and changes
We may add, update, replace, suspend, or discontinue content and features as the Academy evolves. We aim to provide a reliable service, but maintenance, provider outages, security events, or circumstances outside our control may interrupt access. If a material paid feature is permanently discontinued, we will address affected access in a manner consistent with the offer and applicable law.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, fraud, abuse, security risk, unlawful conduct, or material breach of these terms. You may stop using the Academy at any time and may cancel an active subscription through the available billing controls. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms, will survive.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Academy is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jason R. Media LLC and its owners, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, opportunities, or goodwill arising from the Academy. Our total liability for claims relating to the Academy will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Academy during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
16. Responsibility for your conduct
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Academy, your submitted content, your violation of another person’s rights, or your material breach of these terms.
17. Disputes and applicable law
Before filing a formal claim, you and we agree to try in good faith to resolve the issue informally by written notice and a reasonable opportunity to respond. These terms are governed by applicable law, without overriding consumer protections that apply where you live. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Academy, our providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If a change materially affects an active paid membership, we may provide additional notice through the site, account, or email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.
19. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to jason.r@uky.edu. Include the email associated with your Academy account when asking about access or billing.
